Airclaws Partners with Kroner Animal Care to Provide Care for 100 Local Cats

At Airclaws, being part of the Southeast Ohio community means looking for ways to help beyond the heating and cooling services we provide every day.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Kroner Animal Care to provide free spay and neuter services for 100 cats in our community.

Local residents interested in the program can contact Kroner Animal Care directly ((740) 592-1982) and ask about the Airclaws spay and neuter program. Kroner’s staff will speak with callers to determine whether they qualify for the free service and help coordinate the next steps.

It’s a simple partnership with an important goal: helping local families care for their cats while also reducing the number of unwanted and homeless cats in our area.

Helping Cats Find Homes, Too

Our involvement doesn’t stop there. Airclaws also runs a small cat and kitten adoption effort from our office in Amesville, Ohio.

We generally care for no more than two cats at a time, allowing us to give each animal plenty of attention while continuing to operate as a professional, customer-facing business. Cats and kittens often come to our attention through local residents and social media when someone finds an animal that urgently needs a safe place to stay.

Before our cats go to their new homes, we make sure they receive their vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. If they’re adopted before that process is complete, we make sure the necessary appointments are already arranged.

Recently, we celebrated the adoption of our ninth cat through the program.

Meet Mya, Our Leading Lady

One cat who isn’t in quite as much of a hurry to leave is Mya, pictured above, our resident adult cat at the Airclaws office.

Mya has become our “leading lady,” and we’re waiting for just the right home before saying goodbye to her. In the meantime, she serves as a friendly companion and mentor to the new cats and kittens that spend time with us while waiting for their own homes.

Between helping fund 100 spay and neuter procedures and finding homes for cats one at a time, we’re proud to do our small part for animals and their people throughout Southeast Ohio.

After all, at Airclaws, comfort isn’t only for humans.
